Baby and Me

Baby & Me at Little Leo’s Killara

Baby & Me is a free weekly session designed to support local parents and create space for meaningful connection with your baby, and with others in your community.

Led by our experienced Early Childhood Educators, this 90-minute program run over 10 weeks offers a soft introduction to early learning in a calm, nurturing environment. Through themed activities that encourage bonding, movement, and sensory exploration, babies begin to engage with the world around them – while parents and caregivers enjoy complimentary morning tea, connection, and a moment to simply be.
Whether you’re looking to gently stimulate your baby’s senses, connect with other families navigating the same early days (and sleepless nights), or simply enjoy a peaceful morning out, Baby & Me is here to support your journey.

*Currently offered at select centres. Please check with your local Little Leo’s team for availability.

Who is the program for?

Baby & Me is open to local families with babies aged 3 months to 18 months. The program is perfect for parents – especially new mums – who are looking for a gentle introduction to childcare, a chance to connect with other local families, and an opportunity to engage in a fun, educational experience alongside their little one.

To keep the group small and community-focused, each registration includes one baby and one parent or caregiver. We kindly ask that participating families live within a 4km radius of their local Little Leo’s centre.

When is it held?

Every Monday at 10am. Each session runs for 90 minutes.

What does the session include?

    Duty of Care

At Little Leo’s, we believe in creating a safe, nurturing space for every family who joins us. As part of the Baby & Me program, parents and caregivers share a collective responsibility to care not only for their own children but to help ensure the wellbeing of everyone in the group.

We kindly ask that all parents and caregivers actively supervise the children in their care at all times. Each child should be under the watchful eye of a specific, responsible adult who has agreed to take on that role for the session. Please note that Baby & Me is not a child-minding service, and our team is here to guide and support – not to supervise individual children.

Everyone’s safety is our top priority, and we trust you’ll take all reasonable steps to prevent accidents and ensure that children are protected from harm throughout each session.

By working together, we can ensure Baby & Me remains a joyful, secure, and respectful space for all.

    Baby & Me FAQs

Baby & Me is currently offered at select Little Leo’s centres. Please check with your local centre to confirm availability.

Each Baby & Me cycle runs for 10 weeks with a single 90-minute session each week.

Baby & Me is completely free for eligible local families.

The program is open to families with babies aged 3 months to 18 months. Each registration includes one baby and one parent or caregiver.

To keep our groups community-focused, we ask that participating families live within a 4km radius of their local Little Leo’s centre.

Each 90-minute session includes guided, age-appropriate activities that support bonding, movement, and sensory play – followed by morning tea and time to connect with other local parents in a relaxed setting.

To give more families the opportunity to participate, we limit enrolment to one 10-week cycle per family.

Throughout the program, you’ll have the chance to connect with other local families and build supportive relationships that can continue beyond your final session. And of course, our team is always here to answer questions or provide guidance around early childhood and care, whenever you need it.

Just the essentials you’d usually pack for an outing with your baby! A nappy bag, change of clothes, and any feeding supplies you need. We’ll take care of the rest, including morning tea.

We understand that life happens,  and sometimes you may need to miss a session. That said, as Baby & Me spots are limited and in high demand, we do ask families to commit to weekly attendance where possible.

Repeated or consecutive absences may mean your place is offered to another family on our waitlist who’s eager to join.

We’ll invite you to join a dedicated WhatsApp group for your Baby & Me cycle. It’s a great way to stay connected, ask questions, and keep up with what’s happening each week – plus a little extra support for those 2am feeds and moments of newborn delirium.

Yes, we have rooms available where you could breastfeed your child in private.

Yes, you can bring snacks from home. However we are a nut-free centre, so please ensure that any snacks or items are nut-free.
